To provide light calculation facilities for users of AVEVA PDMS/3ED, a plugin has been developed. The plugin operates fram within PDMS/E3D, provides possibilities to configure light calculation, and communicates with a light calculation server. The OCS - OptiWin Calculation Server - is based on OptiWin for light calculation. The OCS is designed as a web service. The OCS received calculation setup information, builds up a scenario and performs calculation according to requirements. Then the calculation result is returned back to PDBS, and can be presented in tabular mode and/or displayed graphically in 3D model. Results can also be returned and presented as PDF report.
